International School of English (ISE)
When the International School of
English DVD Course was launched in May, 2010, missionaries and national
workers in three diverse countries jumped at the opportunity to pilot
the program in their respective countries – Angola,
Moldova, and Myanmar (Burma). It was also concurrently being used at the University
of Colorado at Colorado Springs as the only instructional resource
in teaching
English to a Croatian diplomat, a member in the Croatian Parlament.
At the same time, the School’s DVD teacher
and administrator made plans to open the Southeast Asia Office in Bangkok three months later.
God was laying the groundwork
for the ISE DVD Course to begin one of its major intended purposes – To
make contacts with students and build
genuine relationships as
a means of sharing
the love,
truth, and saving
power of Jesus Christ.
International Community School (ICS)
Gary serves as high school principal at the International
Community School (ICS) of Bangkok, an international "Great
Commission" Christian school. ICS is accredited by
the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association
Christian Schools
International (ACSI).
ICS
offers four-year-old kindergarten through
grade twelve and has an enrollment of approximately 850
students,
representing more
than
20 different
countries. The high school student body is comprised primarily
of students from families representing Buddhism, Hinduism,
Daoism and
other eastern religions. What a mission field! Approximately
20 percent of the high school students are Christians. The
cultural diversity
represented in
the student body, however, contributes significantly
to the quality of the overall educational experience.
