Path of Life Bible Application Series: A series of four Bible studies have been written by Kathy Opfer, a very ordinary woman under extraordinary circumstances. As a mother of three children, she suffered with health problems for the first thirty-nine years of her life, having been diagnosed with EI (Environmental Illness), lupus, two different kinds of amoeba parasites plus a score of lesser ailments (skin cancer, candida, etc). Allergic to everything manmade and at the point of death, God began to show her what she has come to call the "Path of Life" (POL). "Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." Psalm 16:9-11 As God revealed His plan to her step by step, she faithfully outlined this" Path of Life". It led to her complete healing! It is her prayer that the" eyes of your heart might be enlightened" so that you can travel this path as well and find healing for whatever your need--physical, emotional or spiritual. Does the psalmist express your feelings in Psalm 18:4-6a: "The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help." The answers are found in God and God alone. God has the answers and He is the only one that can help you. He is both willing and able. PATH OF LIFE - WOUNDED
This is a study that is based on 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." This verse outlines four steps that God requires for healing for both our land and ourselves as individuals.
PATH OF LIFE - WARRIOR
This is a study that is training in spiritual warfare. The Bible tells us we are all, as children of God, engaged in a war with our enemy, Satan. This study is based on Ephesians 6:10-18, 10 "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled round your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." PATH OF LIFE - WILLING
This is a study that delves into the meaning of the Covenant of Love all believers have wih God. It leads from the Old Testament Covenant into a new awakened understanding of the New Testament Covenant. It defines this Covenant and how it is consummated leading one into an intimate, personal relationship with God. "In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This, do as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.'" (1 Corinthians 11:25, NKJV) PATH OF LIFE - WINNER This is a study that will teach you how to walk in the anointing God has offered--being delivered from any hinderances that are affecting one's life negatively. It is based on Luke 4:18-19, 18"The Spirit of the Lord is on me. because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour."
